Opening times: Peles Castle is normally open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the latest. Be careful: Mondays and Tuesdays are closed days, the castle has no opening hours!

Admission: Ticket prices vary depending on age and package. It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long queues, especially during peak season. We took a day trip from Bucharest with tickets included.

Peles Castle was commissioned by King Carol I of Romania in 1873 and completed in 1883. Designed by German architect Johannes Schulz, this Neo-Renaissance masterpiece is a perfect blend of different architectural styles, including Gothic, Italian and French influences.
